Trooper

I’ve painted quite a few pets who are no longer with us. And while a portrait of a beloved dog or cat is a lovely thing to remember them by, it’s of course always bitter-sweet.

This is Trooper who passed the rainbow bridge not too long ago. I haven’t had the pleasure to meet him, he sure looks like a great dog. Here he is depicted with a big smile on his face, on the lawn in front of his home. I hope this painting brings comfort to his owners, and that Trooper enjoys the grass on the other side too.
