In February of 2020 I was going to house-sit a lovely home in Antigua Guatemala for a one-month period. The house was beautiful, but even better were the three dogs living in it, Chloe, Chilli and Cali. Of course I had no idea at the time that I would get stuck in Guatemala during the pandemic and that the house would be my home for the next eight months. I couldn't have wished for better company! It got even better when I was allowed to foster another dog (that's Charlie) who is now an official member of the family too! The only sad thing was that Chloe passed away during my stay. She was quite old, deaf and arthritic, but still hanging in there. Only a month before her owners came back, she started to deteriorate quickly and we decided it was best to put her to sleep. Besides that saddening farewell, those gals pulled me through the pandemic as no one else ever would have been able to! Much love to all, especially to Chilli Billie Wiggly Butt with her contagious smile. You can NOT wake up next to her and feel miserable!!!!

Chilli Billie's irresistible smile!
