I had only just moved to Antigua Guatemala, walking my elderly dog Luca in the neighbourhood, when one day this shepherd looking dog turned up. Although very shy, he started following me around and slept in an empty lot next to my house. When the rains started, I tried to lure him in, but he was too fearful to come anywhere near me. But after about two weeks, he decided to come in. As soon as he walked through the door, he lay down, belly up for me to pet, and the rest is history.

Bruno lived with me for five years and was a fantastic big brother to all the foster puppies that passed through my house. He has since moved to the US where he lives a lovely life with Patricia Vasques, who had once dog-sat him and was all too happy to become his new mom.
